Standards compliance
The website was designed and developed to meet the requirements of Israeli Standard 5568 at AA conformance level. This standard is based on the international WCAG 2.0 standard and is accepted in Israel under the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 2013.
The site was last tested on 2 September 2026. Testing covered an automated axe-core scan of every page in both languages, at seven screen widths from 320 pixels up to desktop, and in interactive states such as an open menu, an open accordion and form errors. Colour contrast, keyboard navigation and focus order, heading structure, the binding of form fields to their labels, and the absence of horizontal overflow were all checked. The tests were run on three browser engines: Chromium, Firefox and WebKit.
Accessibility features implemented on the site
The website includes the following adaptations:
Navigation and links
- Full keyboard navigation, no mouse required.
- "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Consistent navigation structure across the site.
- Clear focus indicator on every active element.
Content and readability
- Minimum colour contrast of 4.5:1 between regular text and background (3:1 for large text).
- Text can be enlarged up to 200% without breaking readability or layout.
- Logical, ordered heading structure (H1, H2, H3) on every page.
- Page language is explicitly declared (lang="he" or lang="en").
Media and images
- Alt text for every meaningful image.
- Text descriptions for complex images where relevant.
Forms
- Proper ARIA labeling of all form fields.
- Clear error messages adjacent to the relevant field.
- Ability to correct data and resubmit without losing information.
Assistive technology compatibility
- The site is built to ARIA standards, with accessible names on its interface controls, and is tested automatically for missing names and roles. Manual testing with a screen reader has not yet been carried out.
- Compatibility with modern browsers, tested on all three browser engines: Chromium (Chrome and Edge), Firefox and WebKit (Safari).
- Adapted for mobile devices at all sizes.
Deviations from the standard
The site is under continuous testing and improvement. The testing described above is an internal technical check, not certification by an accredited accessibility professional. Manual screen-reader testing and user testing have not yet been carried out. The privacy policy and terms of use are published in Hebrew only, and appear in Hebrew in the English version of the site as well, with a notice to that effect. Pages, components or content that are not fully accessible may still be found. If you encounter something inaccessible, please tell us: we will look into it and put it right as soon as we can.
